How often should I do a new Cognitive Evaluation?
Cognitive evaluations are administered every 30 days. This allows enough time to measure the progress you are making with your recommended training.
How often should I do the Gamma Cognitive Exercises?
More is better! We recommend at least 10 minutes each day, or 20 minutes every other day for optimum results.
How often should I do the Gamma Coherence Training?
Just like with Gamma Cognitive Exercise – more is better! We recommend 10 minutes per day for best possible results.
When I do the Gamma Coherence Training do I need to do both the Gamma music and the breathing components?
Listening to the Gamma music in combination with the breathing will produce ideal results, however you can break them up if you like.
What is Subjective Cognitive Decline?
In 2019, the CDC published a paper entitled Subjective Cognitive Decline – A Public health Issue. In this article, the CDC defines Subjective Cognitive Decline as the self reported experience of worsening or more frequent confusion or memory loss. They go on to say that it is one of the first noticeable symptoms of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. This is a condition where the individual reports worsening or more frequent confusion or memory loss, but standardized cognitive assessments are negative. The CDC estimates that there are over 20 million Americans suffering with this condition. Current studies have shown that more people are experiencing these issues as early as their 40’s and half of older adults with subjective cognitive decline go on to develop more severe cognitive issues within seven to 18 years. Common signs and symptoms of cognitive decline include:
• Memory loss, such as forgetting names, places, or recent events
• Problems with organizing or planning — struggling with multi-tasking
• Difficulty with recognizing faces
• Difficulty finding words — often losing vocabulary Misplacing items
• Problems calculating a tip, or paying bills
• Slower recall, which could either be visual or verbal
